Spring is in full bloom at Wilderness Whitetails! It's fawning and planting season at Wilderness Whitetails. We are busy working on food plots, moving stands and getting things set for the 2017 hunting season.
With over 30 years of whitetail management experience, our team is well versed in maintaining our preserve's food plots. We strive to create a habitat that will produce record book bucks, year after year. This season we have planted over 300 acres of clover alfalfa chicory, soybeans and corn. Late summer we'll mix it up and plant brassicas, cereal grains, radishes and turnips. In addition to the hard work that our team puts in, we are also blessed to own a preserve peppered with natural creeks and ponds that traverse our property. Hundreds of acres of hardwoods combined with grassy meadows help to create the perfect whitetail habitat.

It's Fawning Season
One of our favorite times of year is fawning season. All the fawns on our hunting preserve are born natural and in the wild. We spend countless hours walking our property to get an idea of what the next season will bring. Here is a picture of one of our new fawns.
New Stands Going Up
This season we're preparing some new stands and shooting lanes for gun and bow hunters alike. Our guests have always enjoyed our comfortable stands even in late season when it can get a bit chilly. Don't forget to bring your binoculars. The show from our stands gets pretty intense, especially around the rut when you're likely to see multiple 200"+ bucks sparing and chasing does.
