Genetics

2007 Featured Genetics

The Flees Family has been working hard on whitetail genetics since the early 1980’s. In 1988, our first buck scoring over 200" was born. Since then more than 175 bucks scoring over 200 have been born and raised at Wilderness Game Farm. Many of these bucks went over the 250" mark. In 2002, we hit the 300” mark for the first time with Bucky (312 6/8) and Heavy (304 6/8). In 2003, Bucky scored 331 6/8.

By using single sire breeding crossed with only the best does, we have been able to take whitetail genetics to another level. Every fawn born on our farm will have a strong genetic background with several generations of 200" genetics. We have been very fortunate, and sometimes lucky, throughout the years. However, for the most part, our success is due to following a very solid genetic plan over a long period of time.

Where we will be able to take genetics into the future is unknown. We have already accomplished some things we did not think possible. Every year we set new standards and every year our deer continue to improve. One thing we do know is that the world-class whitetails we will be producing in the future will not come about by accident. They will be a product of what we have done over the last 30 years.

The best way to incorporate Wilderness Game Farm genetics into your whitetail deer herd is through the purchase of quality semen, breeder bucks, adult does and doe fawns.

The Flees family believes strongly in honesty and integrity. We will guarantee any purchases from Wilderness Game Farm with DNA.
